“You will remain in our hearts forever.” Stéphan Jaquet, the former bassist of French metal band Mass Hysteria, died at the age of 53, the group announced on Facebook on Saturday (November 6). “Mass Hysteria, it was your baby, we will carry it to the end for you, we love you very much, immense thoughts to your family and your loved ones, rest in peace our Stéphan ‘tittoo’ Jaquet”, wrote the group on Facebook, accompanying these few words with a photo.
The musician had participated in the first six albums of the French metal group. He participated in its founding in 1993 with singer Mouss and former guitarist Erwan Disez. He left the group in 2011, after having participated in the production of the disc Flaws, released in 2009. Nine years later, Mass Hysteria released their ninth and latest studio album, Maniac. The reason for his death was not specified by the group.
