Former Montreal Canadiens forward Tanner Pearson signed a professional tryout contract with the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
Pearson, 32, had 13 points, including five goals, in 54 games with the Montreal team last season.
Before joining the Canadiens, the Ontarian played 10 seasons with the Los Angeles Kings, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vancouver Canucks.
He had the best season of his career in 2019-20, with the Canucks. He had collected 45 points, including 21 goals, in 69 games.
In 644 National Hockey League games, Pearson scored 138 goals and had 147 assists for a total of 285 points.
He added 23 points, including nine goals, in 51 playoff games. He also won the Stanley Cup with the Kings in 2014.
