Like every evening, the 11pm news report takes a look at the news broadcast by European television channels. It’s the Eurozapping of Monday, September 16.

In the UK, former BBC star presenter Huw Edwards has been convicted of child pornography photos. On Monday, September 16, he was tried in court for 41 photos discovered on his phone. The journalist was the voice of news for the British channel for many years. An investigation by the tabloid The Sun has knocked him off his pedestal. He has just been sentenced to six months in prison, suspended.

In Switzerland, Abbé Pierre is said to have led a double life in Geneva. He often went to a hotel, where he allegedly had a mistress. He also allegedly frequented a nearby brothel. As early as 1990, one of the residents said she had met Abbé Pierre. At the time, the case was not pursued. Today, two testimonies against him have reportedly been collected in Switzerland.
