Former banker Line Rivard becomes Quebec delegate general in London

(Quebec) A former banker, administrator at the Metro grocer and a subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt, Line Rivard, becomes the new general delegate of Quebec in London, has learned Press.

The Legault government is to officially announce his appointment on Wednesday evening. Mme Rivard replaces Pierre Gabriel Côté, who announced his departure last June. The Legault government had appointed Mr. Côté to the post of delegate general in London after having withdrawn his position as CEO of Investissement Quebec.

Line Rivard worked for 20 years at BMO Capital Markets, from 1989 to 2009. She notably held the positions of Vice-President and General Manager – Corporate Services. She was Special Advisor to the Governor of the Bank of Canada in 2014 and 2015.

Mme Rivard has been a member of Metro’s board of directors since 2014. Until recently, she sat on the board of directors of Ivanohé Cambridge, the real estate arm of the Caisse de dépôt. She was a member since 2010.
