The program is disrupted but not disrupted. Catherine Colonna postpones until Monday her trip initially planned for Saturday December 16 to Beirut in Lebanon, first stop of her tour in the Middle East, indicates the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on “technical damage” which forced the Republic’s Falcon 900 to turn around after two hours of flying towards the Lebanese capital.

The second part of its movement is, however, maintained. “As planned, the minister will visit Israel and the Palestinian Territories on Sunday”, it is indicated in the same post. Catherine Colonna will therefore travel to Tel Aviv and the West Bank tomorrow.

This fourth trip by Catherine Colonna to the Middle East since October 7 aims in particular to call for avoiding a conflagration which could pass through the south of Lebanon and the north of Israel, this area where clashes are almost daily between the Israeli army and Hezbollah. In Israel, the visit will also allow France to once again show its support for the victims, but also, during a trip to the West Bank, to denounce the violence of extremist settlers.
