Many people choose to return to sport as a good resolution for 2022. A decision that is sometimes difficult to stick to over time.
Like every year, many French people have chosen to make new resolutions. Some have decided to put on their sneakers to run in the cold of January. “There, it’s been two months since I had not run. The holidays are over so I went quiet”, details a runner. According to a sports coaching app, practice increases for the first 12 days of the year before dropping sharply.
To succeed in respecting his good resolutions, Léo Calvet, sports coach, advises “set goals, visualize them in the short, medium and long term, do not go too fast”. Elizabeth, who has returned to the sport, has opted for private lessons. “It’s very, very hard but they are there to motivate us, to send us text messages to say ‘come on, i’m waiting for you monday’“, she confides. In its gym, each year in January, the establishment registers 10% of new registrations. Some stay, others leave, but the objective is above all to find what suits each one, and to take pleasure in practicing the sport in question.
