For this weekend of back-and-forth, traffic on the main roads is particularly difficult. Some 1,000.3 kilometers of traffic jams were recorded on Saturday, August 17 at midday, throughout the country, according to Bison Futé. The main difficulties are on the A10, A7 and A9 roads. The forecasting organization had warned that traffic would be very heavy throughout the weekend.
This Saturday is classified orange throughout France and red in the northwest quarter in the direction of departures. In the direction of returns, the day is also classified red throughout the national territory and black in the northwest quarter. On Sunday, traffic will remain dense, with orange in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in the direction of departures and red everywhere in France in the direction of returns. Finally, on Monday, if in the direction of departures, the day is classified green by Bison Futé, in the direction of returns, the organization sees orange in the whole country. A return to normal is expected for Tuesday.
