On February 6, 2024, a few days after filing a complaint against director Benoît Jacquot, Judith Godreche
revealed that she was allegedly the victim of abuse from the director Jacques Doillon when she was 15 years old.
Since these revelations, and the speech of Dany Boon’s ex-partner during the last César ceremony on February 23, Lou Doillon’s father had not yet reacted. It was finally this Wednesday, April 10 that he decided to speak out and defend himself.
Presumed innocent, Jacques Doillon is accused of rape of a 15-year-old minor by Judith Godreche, as well as sexual assault and sexual harassment by actresses Isild Le Besco and Anna Mouglalis. He therefore wanted to give his version of the facts.

Jacques Doillon firmly denies Judith Godrèche’s accusations
“I never had an intimate relationship with Judith Godrèche. I was never attracted to her. I was living at the time with Jane (Birkin), with whom I was in love. Nothing happened with her. Judith neither in an office nor anywhere else”he first assured.
Subsequently, the director justified himself on the “love scene” mentioned by the 52-year-old actress. He explains that he replaced the actor initially planned because he “did not know his text well”. “He told me that if I didn’t reprise the role, the film would have to be stopped. I accepted without enthusiasm”he confided.
The director’s career is “over”
Since the accusations of Judith Godrechethe life of Jacques Doillon is no longer the same. This one felt “astonishment, amazement and anger” upon learning of the accusations against him. “This was followed by the anxiety that it would harm my children. Unfortunately, I was right: the two youngest hear disgusting things about their father at school”he continues.
Still according to the director, the latter’s career would be “finished” since facing these charges. “I had film projects which disappeared. (…) I was let go by certain people because they were under pressure from Judith Godrèche and her entourage. I am the headliner blacklisted filmmakershe finally lamented.
