The price of this low-cost water had not changed for almost twenty years. This increase is partly due to that of plastic, essential to manufacture the bottles. Indeed, the price of this material is soaring, with an increase of 39% last fall. Another reason: with the rise in fuel prices, transporting the goods inevitably costs more for the company. It will therefore pass on its costs to the distributors. According to Olivier Dauvers, specialist in mass distribution, consumers could soon see the price climb on their receipts.
