For Matthieu Udol, FC Metz did not “respect Stade Lavallois” enough

The staff and players of FC Metz undoubtedly had a very bad night, thinking back to the Mayenne mess.

After a smooth first period, during which the Grenats showed all their offensive qualities, with the added bonus of two nice goals signed, Matthieu Udol and William Mikelbrencis, the club at the Croix de Lorraine negotiated the second act very badly : expulsion of goalkeeper Alexandre Oukidja, after a risky and dangerous outing, poor management of numerical inferiority, inability to kill the game with this solitary raid by Niane, and Laval who took the opportunity to come back to score in less than 15 minutes; without forgetting of course, the red card of Fabien Centonze for protest.

After the match, in the corridors of the Francis le Basser stadium, the Messin captain, Matthieu Udol returned to this totally failed second period.

For the former resident of the Messin training center, “FC Metz did not respect Laval and the Garnets were punished ” .

Oukidja’s blunder

Author of a fine parade in the first period, the goalkeeper of FC Metz, impeccable since the start of the championship, fell back into his ways after the break.

Alex Oukidja was logically expelled, after having tackled at the level of the ankle, a Laval striker, and out of his penalty area.

The Algerian international admitted his mistake and quickly apologized! But the damage was done and his dangerous exit was the turning point of the match and this allowed the promoted Laval player to revive.

For FC Metz coach Laslo Boloni, his goalkeeper has ” unfortunately made the wrong choice “.

N’Doram “stoned” and Centonze quite pissed off

Two FC Metz executives also had a bad evening in Mayenne. After coming into play, the season premiere, Fabien Centonze was sent off for protest, after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession. The Messin defender complained of a foul on Laval’s third goal. His remarks did not please referee Benjamin Lepaysan.

Right by his side, at the time of this stormy explanation with the referee, Kevin N’Doram claims to have received a stone in the face. He also wore a bandage on his forehead after the match. The meeting delegate has been notified of this incident. He could mention it in his report.

In any case, for these two important players in the Messin workforce, the return to Ligue 2 is not easy!
