Yesterday Thursday, June 23, 2022, the stars met in the 18th arrondissement to close the third day of Paris men’s fashion week. The parterre of celebrities stopped their driver just below the Sacré-Coeur where the AMI fashion show concocted by the couturier Alexandre Mattiussi took place. And the beautiful world had responded to the invitation of the label. In the front row, the photographers were able to immortalize the silhouettes of Catherine Deneuve, Naomi Campbell, Carla Bruni, Farida Khelfa, Carine Roitfeld, Sandrine Kiberlain or the singer Louane. But the real star who surprised everyone with her presence is Audrey Tautou. Very discreet for years, we had left the actress very moved during the funeral of Gaspard Ulliel. And if the actress has already been seen at prestigious fashion shows, it was a nice surprise to find her as a guest on the podium to open the show. One only had to see the astonished eyes and the broad smiles of the guests to measure the impact of his presence.
By calling Audrey Tautou and presenting her parade in the Montmartre district, Alexandre Mattiussi obviously gave a nod to the role of Amélie Poulain who propelled the young woman to stardom. And obviously, the couturier wanted to review the look of the little bar employee. To parade the one who was also Chanel’s muse, he still knew how to keep these pieces which proudly sit in the wardrobe of all trendy Parisiennes. Audrey Tautou, 45, sported a satin blouse, tucked neatly into high-waisted white pants, all worn over a pair of black heeled ankle boots. But the piece that everyone noticed is the sublime XXL trench coat with large black buttons. Invented in 1914 by Thomas Burberry to equip British army officers, this piece remains a must-have in men’s and women’s wardrobes. And if some wanted to leave it in the closet next fall, it is possible that this coat will make a comeback next fall.
