for her son, Tom’s 20th birthday, the heartbreaking birthday cake she prepared for him

His father is the iconic journalist and television presenter of TF1’s 1 p.m. Journal, Jean-Pierre Pernaut, who died in March 2022 at the age of 71, and his mother is Nathalie Marquay-Pernaut, ex-Miss France, aged 51. Tom Pernaut, Lou’s little brother, turns 20 on December 5, 2023. And the young man was treated to a shocking surprise that his mother prepared for him, for the occasion.

“Photos of your dad to show you that he will always be with you

On Instagram, the television star shared several photos and videos from the event. And paid tribute to him by writing: “My heart, happy birthday, magnificent cake with photos of your dad to show you that he will always be with you, Thank you to all the family and friends“.

A mourning still very difficult for the widow of Jean-Pierre Pernaut, who explained in May 2022 to the magazine Ciné Télé Revue : “I know he is near me. I believe in angels, in life after death […] He who was very down to earth when I spoke to him about that, he now makes signs to me. For two months, I left the hospital every evening at 9 p.m. and the Eiffel Tower was out. The day he died, when he went out, it was on, it was sparkling. That’s where we had our first date at the restaurant.”

“My heart is bleeding today

And with the end of year holidays approaching, Nathalie Marquay Pernaut will be more and more emotional. Remember, last year she wrote on the Web, to remember the day when this Miss France 1987 met the man of her life: “On December 8, 2001, twenty-one years ago, I met my prince charming… my heart bleeds today“.
