The deputy Les Républicains Éric Ciotti was the guest of the “4 Vérités” of France 2, Tuesday, May 31. He notably returned to the incidents that occurred at the Stade de France.

Invited on the set of “4 Truths” of France 2, Tuesday, May 31, the deputy Les Républicains Éric Ciotti did not mince his words concerning the fiasco of the Stade de France. While the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, questioned the 40,000 counterfeit notes held by British supporters, Éric Ciotti estimated that “this is a fable”. “Everyone knows that the version of the Minister of the Interior […] is totally false and misleading”he said, denouncing in passing the facts “humiliating for our country”.

For him, “We want to conceal that there have been assaults and thefts. […] This delinquency is there, it is particularly present in Seine-Saint-Denis.” And Éric Ciotti adds: “Faced with organized gangs, strong legal action is needed and if there are foreign nationals, there must be expulsions.” Also questioned about the Russian oil embargo, the deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes was quite critical: “I hope that the path to peace with Russia is not completely blocked. At the moment, the sanctions strategy is ineffective.” Finally, on purchasing power, Éric Ciotti affirmed that it was necessary “stop with grants and checks”. According to him, “Today’s subsidies are tomorrow’s taxes”.
