On the sidelines of the G7, in Germany, Emmanuel Macron returned, Sunday, June 26, to the French press on his desire not to include representatives of the Rassemblement national nor of La France insoumise in the future government. “It will be communists in LR”, he announced. During this exchange oftwenty minutes with the journalists, the French president estimated that LFI and the RN were not Republicans, reports the political service of France Télévisions.
The Head of State distinguishes within La France insoumise between those who are truly Republicans and those who maintain ambiguities. He does not put an equal sign between the RN and LFI and says he is rather optimistic about the hypothesis of a coalition agreement.
Emmanuel Macron also supported his legitimacy and the majority he obtained in the Assembly, even if it was not the one wanted at the start. He said he was always open to compromise but recalled that this will be done on his program.
