Aurélien Taché’s position
Aurélien Taché, environmentalist deputy and supporter of Manon Aubry, head of the list rebellious in the European elections, does not agree. “It is not Jean-Luc Mélenchon who wants to make Gaza a subject of the European elections. It is the genocide in Gaza which makes Jean-Luc Mélenchon seize it.” For her part, MEP Ilana Cicurel says she is not against placing the conflict in Gaza at the heart of the European elections. On the other hand, “when we decide to intervene in Europe, in a tragic conflict that has lasted too long, (…) we are an actor, but not by blowing on the embers”she believes.
