for actor Clovis Cornillac, “Mr. Mayor” is “a film that talks about people”

The film Mr. Mayorit is the story of a village which risks losing its school, for lack of new inhabitants. At first reluctant, the mayor (Clovis Cornillac) agrees to rent an apartment, renovated by the municipality, to a mother of two children, a country singer. Touched by the story of this battered woman, the mayor decides to open a shelter to accommodate other women in difficulty. The film is inspired by a true story, that of the town Pyrenean of the’Hospitalet-près-Andorra (Ariège).

Present on the set of “1 p.m.”, Wednesday November 1, Clovis Cornillac explains having discovered the function and the “courage” mayors. According to him, to take on this role, “you have to be inhabited”. The actor assures that Mr. Mayor “is a film about people”.
