Ideally, here are the parameters that the future National Museum of Quebec History should apply to history to achieve consensus: a history neither too bitter (avoid listing aggressions and defeats) nor too proud (do not insist on the victories and great achievements). Locate it somewhere and nowhere at the same time. Dilute the temporal markers so that it is for today and forever, ensuring that each of its actors is someone and no one at the same time. Bend it to all interpretations, except those which can fuel the “chasing”.
Odorless, colorless and tasteless, it laughs at borders, at banal questions of power and politics. Having neither friends nor enemies, it will float with ease in the ether of the denationalized international.
The museum will be installed in one of the buildings of the Petit Séminaire de Québec, now located in Bisouville, the new name of this district of the historic district of the capital.
