It is a skylight that has become famous. The skylight game, born in Évry, in the Paris suburbs, has since been emulated throughout France. Example at Trois Cités, in a popular district of Poitiers, in Vienne.

The third try is the right one for Souareba13 years old, first Poitevin to put the ball in the skylight. “I concentrated (…) I’m happy there”he said, smiling. Like him, many residents of the Trois Cités district of Poitiers (Vienne) came to try the challenge: fit the ball into a small window. The popular game is born in a group of friends Evry (Essonne), three years ago.

“One day, my little brother was having a hard time with his friends (…) while walking, when they arrived in front of (the skylight), they said: ‘Go ahead, whoever puts the ball in it wins something'”recount Djibril, says Gay the Elder, co-founder of La Lucarne d’Évry. Originally, the skylight is that of a garbage can room in Évry. Gay lold is the first to put a goal there. The masterstroke went viral. The gang then decides to make it a traveling game by building a replica of the facade. “It’s exactly the same at real size (…) there is not a detail missing”assures one of the founders. Everyone can try their luck, like the mayor of the city. “It does not require the same skills”she laughs. A grand final between the best players will take place in Évry on July 2nd.
