Private imported wine tasting

During the weekend of March 23, the 14e edition of the Private Imported Wine Show awaits the public at the Bonsecours market in Montreal. There are more than 500 wines being tasted for the spring event called Printemps Déz-IP-pé, to mark the return of good weather. The Show is presented by the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) and the RASPIPAV, and visitors will also be able to purchase individual bottles from selected products from participating agencies. Whether you prefer white, red, rosé, orange, natural wine, bubbles or others, everyone will be able to find something to satisfy their palate. Craft beers, ciders and alcohols will also be featured on site. A month later, on April 21, the event will take place at the Voltigeurs Armory in Quebec.

“Winter markets” in Saint-Lambert

On March 23, between 9 a.m. and noon, around fifteen artisans meet at the Multifunctional Center next to the Vieux Saint-Lambert farmers’ market, open only in the summer, to offer local foods to visitors. The public will be able to opt for artisanal sausages, meats, herbs and other foods produced by merchants located within a radius of less than 100 km from Saint-Lambert. This is a destination that is both gourmet and eco-responsible. Another “winter market” will take place on April 20, before the farmers’ market returns in May.

“Chefs on Tour” arrives in Montreal

After taking place in Lisbon, Dubai, New York and Chicago, the event Chefs on Tour arrives at Time Out Market in Montreal on March 27. This initiative brings together chefs from different Time Out Markets around the world in a collaborative experience. The Montreal edition will offer a unique four-handed menu of no less than ten courses concocted by Montrealer Paul Toussaint, in the company of Rodolfo Cuadros, of the Latin American cuisine restaurant Lil Amaru in Chicago. Tickets are sold in limited quantities at a price of $125. It is possible to obtain a food and wine pairing for $75 more. In addition, since Thursday, burger lovers can also taste revisited American classics from Chez Simon urban canteen. The establishment managed by Simon Jodoin-Bouchard, which is located in the Tétreaultville district, is opening a new point of sale in the heart of the Time Out Market. On the menu, we find in particular its famous smash burgersTHE chili cheese fries and other specialties inspired by the southwest of the United States.
