Food, Film & Friendship Event | From Charlevoix to Vermont

The Cuisine, Cinema et Confidences event, which has taken place every fall in Baie-Saint-Paul since 2017, now has a little brother in Vermont: Food, Film & Friendship.


It is as part of the Vermont International Film Festival that the first version of this event will be held, on October 29, at the Essex Resort & Spa.

A true cross-border collaboration aimed at promoting Quebec’s agri-food, culinary and cinematographic cultures, and which will bring together in a single day the viewing of Quebec films as well as meals created by four Quebec chefs – Fisun Ercan (Bika), Raphael Podlasiewicz ( restaurants Nord du Strøm Nordic spa), Jean-Simon Petit (Ferme des Quatre-Temps) and David Forbes (Camp Boule) – and just as many from Vermont.

A lunch box and a gourmet dinner will be inspired by the films presented, featuring local products from Montérégie and Vermont.

Several actors are behind this initiative, made in part possible thanks to the provincial government’s action plan “The world at our table”, including Tourisme Montérégie, Tourisme Haut-Richelieu and the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie, through of the Quebec delegation in Boston.
