The national food bank drive takes place November 26-28. Volunteers are waiting for you at the supermarket exit, especially as demand is on the rise. 12% this year, especially students in precariousness.
Food Bank volunteers, in orange vests, are present at the exit of some 8,000 supermarkets in France. They hope to recover as much food as possible. A call for donations well received by customers of a Parisian store on Saturday 27 November. The Food Bank will deliver the products to 6,000 partner associations and their needs are targeted. All the products are useful, even the small pleasures.
“Christmas is approaching and we will also ask to donate chocolates to have a distribution that is out of the ordinary”, explains Henri de Cezac, Parisian volunteer. With the health crisis, food aid has never been so crucial. More fragile people are in difficulty: + 12% of beneficiaries in the third quarter. The goal is to collect the equivalent of 23 million meals by Sunday evening.
