Foo Fighters back in Verdun after 20 years

Twenty years almost to the day after setting foot there, the members of the group Foo Fighters will be back in the Verdun auditorium on July 10 for a surprise concert that has just been added to their tour dates.

This was announced by evenko on Wednesday morning. Tickets go on sale June 29 at 10 a.m.

This Montreal show by Dave Grohl’s band comes between two performances already scheduled in Canada, at the Festival d’été de Québec on July 8 (sold out) and at the Ottawa Bluesfest on July 12. Foo Fighters have just released their eleventh album, the first since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022.

The rock band performed at the Verdun auditorium on July 6, 2003. From the 1980s to 2000, the mythical arena hosted several major groups, including Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Pearl Jam, Nirvana (the former group of Dave Grohl), Rage Against the Machine and Bad Religion.
