following major health problems, this candidate must abandon everything

Zazie, Vianney, Bigflo and Oli and Mika are experiencing intense and complicated moments in The Voice on TF1 since last week; they who must eliminate candidates from their teams during battles. A delicate stage during which other artists came to support the members of the jury such as Mentissa, Benjamin Biolay and Pierre de Maere. But what the teams are preparing to experience this Saturday, April 13 is unprecedented in the history of the show. A candidate had to abandon the competition.

This is Jacinta from the Bigflo and Oli team. Aged 70, the artist is “fell ill“as the Toulouse brothers will specify in a tape recorder during the broadcast:”This battle between Vernis Rouge and Clément is a bit different because Jacinta was supposed to be with them but she fell ill. Unfortunately, she couldn’t be there. That’s also what “The Voice” is, it’s about the present moment. We often say that battles are an appointment and here, she missed the appointment“.

Jacinta disappointed but not defeatist

Jacinta made an impression on viewers, she who presented herself to the blind auditions with thewant to highlight Argentinian music. Born in Buenos Aires but living in Paris since 1977, this professional singer and teacher hasmoved the two rappers to tears while performing “Alfonsina y el Mar” by Mercedes Sosa. A suspended moment which, however, did not please the main interested party asking that her passage be deleted from the show. “I was disappointed” she then confided to our colleagues at Leisure TV.

While the filming of the battles took place this winter, Jacinta had to end her adventure and explains why. “About ten days before the recording, I wasn’t feeling very well. The next day I noticed that my throat was a little sore. I immediately saw an ENT who told me it was just a virus and therefore not serious but the next day, I had a fever of 40 and absolutely could no longer speak” she explained.

Exhausted, the artist was forced to rest:I spent four weeks without being able to speakand the production of “The Voice” understood that I could not participate in the battles” she added before concluding: “Life is full of blows and pain. So I told myself that if I got sick, I couldn’t fight against nature. I’m not disappointed because maybe it wasn’t the time to do the show and I’m happy for the candidates who stayed“. At this stage, 9 candidates have borne the brunt of these formidable battles.
