In what could be a high point of the 2024 US presidential campaign, outgoing President Joe Biden faces former President Donald Trump this evening in a first televised debate.
The 90-minute debate begins at 9 p.m. on CNN and will be moderated by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. This is a high-risk exercise for the two candidates who will try to be elected on November 5. A second debate is planned for September on the ABC channel.
