Visit to the new spire. The head of state inspected the new spire of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. The President of the Republic also made a special tribute to General Jean-Louis Georgelin, who led the reconstruction of Notre-Dame until his accidental death this summer, by engraving part of his name in the wood of the spire.
A freshly erected cross. The spire of Notre-Dame found his cross on Wednesday. Overlooking a golden crown, it was lifted into the air by a crane and installed at the top of the new spire, whose restoration, under scaffolding, is nearing completion.
