(Philadelphia) The Philadelphia Flyers have signed forward Owen Tippett to a two-year contract worth an average annual value of US$1.5 million.

Tippett, 23, had four goals and three assists in 21 games with the Flyers after they acquired him from the Florida Panthers on March 19 in the Claude Giroux trade.
In 42 games with the Panthers before being traded, Tippett had six goals and eight assists.
2017 Panthers first-round pick, 10e overall, Tippett has 18 goals and 22 assists in 115 NHL games with the Panthers and Flyers. He added a goal and three assists in six playoff games.
Tippett represented Canada at the World Junior Championship in 2019, when the team was eliminated in the quarterfinals. He then had two goals and two assists in five games.
