Flu, Covid-19 and bronchiolitis. France is facing a strong winter epidemic. The flu in particular is gaining ground. Seven regions are in the epidemic phase, including Hauts-de-France and Île-de-France. Consultations are increasing among general practitioners. Those under 15 are the most affected.

Covid-19 and bronchiolitis

As for Covid-19, it is particularly circulating at the end of the year. The risk of contamination remains high, even if health authorities have observed a slight decline in recent days. Same trend for bronchiolitis, a respiratory infection which mainly affects infants and children under two years old. The epidemic is declining in France, after a peak in early December. Vaccination and barrier measures remain the most effective measures to protect against these respiratory infections.
