Florent Manaudou returns to competition for the Camille Muffat meeting in Nice

Florent Manaudou will dive again, for his first competition since the Tokyo Olympics. There, in the summer of 2021, he won the silver medal in the 50m freestyle final, after winning Olympic gold in 2012 in London, then two silver medals in 2016 in Rio. For his big comeback, the swimmer chose Nice and the first stage of the FFN Gloden Tour Camille Muffat, a competition paying tribute to the Nice champion who died in 2015.

Florent Manaudou will swim this Friday February 4 the series of 50 m butterfly as well as the 50 m freestyle all day Sunday February 6. This will be his first competition with his new coaches, the Antibois Quentin Coton and Yoris Grandjean. They have been working together, in Antibes, since October 2021. A change of scenery for Florent Manaudou, 31, who returned to the pools in 2019 with the aim of competing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics… and those of Paris 2024. In the short term , the champion is targeting the Mediterranean Games, in Algeria, from June 25 to July 5, 2022.
