Florent Manaudou: His sublime fiancée announces a major upheaval in his life

There are days that count more than others in the life of a top athlete and for Pernille Blume, this October 27 will long remain etched in his memory. The 28-year-old owes a lot to her sport, swimming, thanks to which she was able to experience incredible emotions. Olympic champion in the 50 meter freestyle at the Rio Olympics, she also had the chance to meet her lover, Florent Manaudou along the pools. Today, the young woman seems very fulfilled with the beautiful French swimmer and she shares her life between Copenhagen, where she has her family and loved ones, and the south of France, where she lives in Antibes with the brother of Laure Manaudou.

A few days ago, she also revealed some beautiful photos of the superb apartment that the 31-year-old swimmer has in Marseille and in which the couple resides from time to time. After these two moments together, Pernille returned to Denmark and she had time to reflect on her career and as she just announced a few minutes ago on her Instagram account, she made a big decision. The beautiful blonde has decided to retire from sports at only 28 years old! “Hi everyone, I have some news to share with you. I have decided to retire from swimming competitions”she wrote.

Even though it’s hard to say goodbye to something I love so much

As she explains later, it was a difficult decision and the fruit of a long reflection, but Pernille Blume is now sure of her choice. “Even though it’s hard to say goodbye to something I love so much, it’s also exciting to think about the new chapter in my life that I’m about to open”, she continues. For the time being, the young retiree does not yet know what her future will hold, but after thanking her relatives, she assures us that she will not stray too far from the pools. “Swimming will always have a special place in my heart and II will continue to follow the world of swimming closely, but this time from the edge of the swimming pool”she concludes her moving message.
