Mayenne and Maine-et-Loire are placed on red alert in the face of the risk of flooding on the Oudon river, Thursday June 20. In a bulletin published at 10:16 p.m., Météo-France also extended orange vigilance for “floods” to Isère. “The level of the Romanche is currently high. The precipitation this Thursday raised the level”warns Vigicrues. “Levels should remain stable until mid-morning on Friday and then move upward again”writes the government site.

Isère joins twelve other departments on orange alert. Indre, Cher, Yonne and Nièvre are also on “flood” alert. Ille-et-Vilaine, Loire-Altantique, Sarthe, Indre-et-Loire, Eure-et-Loir, Loir-et-Cher, and Loiret are on orange “rain-flood” alert ” and “storms”. The Hautes-Alpes are on orange “rain-flood” alert.

Vigicrues also reports “major excesses” of Oudon since the end of the night “in the Craon area”, on the border between Mayenne and Maine-et-Loire. Of the “significant overflows” are also observed on the Arnon, hence the orange vigilance for the Cher and the Indre, and on the Yonne, hence the caution required in the Nièvre and the Yonne.
