The residents of Pas-de-Calais were preparing for another night of anxiety on Thursday. Authorities and firefighters are ready to intervene if necessary.
In Pas-de-Calais, the next few hours promise to be difficult, Thursday November 9. In the rain, elected officials check on residents. The firefighters will stay awake all night. Nurseries and schools closed
It’s been a week since the rivers of Pas-de-Calais have been overflowing. Hundreds of houses were flooded. The earth no longer absorbs falling water. Over the last 24 hours, we have reached the equivalent of a month of rain. All day long, the water rose visiblyeye. The village of Hesdigneul-lès-Boulogne is once again surrounded. This is the third flood in a week. On Friday, nurseries and schools in 200 municipalities in the department will remain closed.
