Dancing is once again permitted and customers can stand in bars. The number of customers admitted to the gaming tables is also higher. Plexiglas (sneeze guards) will be gradually removed from gaming tables and slot machine areas, etc.
“With these flexibilities, we can provide our customers with a smoother and more entertaining experience. The health and safety of staff and customers alike remain our priority, and we make sure to maintain the highest standards, ”said Kevin Taylor, executive vice-president and chief operating officer of the casinos, in a press release.
However, certain measures will remain, such as the obligation to present the vaccination passport and photo identification. Visitors will also be required to wear a mask or face cover indoors, except when eating and drinking.
Customers wishing to be entertained in Quebec casinos on December 31 and January 1 must use the online reservation tool to ensure they have a place in the casino.
The relaxations in force are as follows:
• Gradual return of the gambling offer (variable depending on the casinos and traffic);
• Dance permitted;
• Possibility of standing in bars;
• Increase in the number of customers admitted to gaming tables;
• Reopening of the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal and the Théâtre du Casino du Lac-Leamy;
• End of the customer register at the entrance to casinos;
• Gradual removal of plexiglass (sneeze guards) on gaming tables;
• Removal of certain plexiglas in the areas of slot machines;
• End of the limited reception capacity;
• Gradual removal of the temporary walls that separated the casinos into distinct sectors (Montreal and Lac-Leamy);
• Improved opening hours (variable depending on the casinos and gaming halls).
