It’s an innovation for a good cause. Culture Minister Rima Abdul Malak stood out on Wednesday (October 26th) by starring with her predecessor Jack Lang in a video clip posted on Twitter as part of a campaign to bring audiences back to cinemas in deep crisis.

This clip, which pokes fun at a very intrusive Jack Lang, is presented on the Minister’s Twitter account, @RimaAbdulMalak, under the hashtag #MyGoodRaison to go to the cinema!, slogan of the advertising campaign.

The Minister humorously gives her “good reason” to go to the cinema : “Fleeing the Couriers of Jack Lang”, several times (Socialist) Minister of Culture and a major player on the French cultural scene ever since. We see Rima Abdul Malak installed in her office on rue de Valois, in Paris, reading letters from Jack Lang, which she abandons to go to the cinema where the former Minister of Culture just happens to be.

“Rima Abdul Malak wanted to support the campaign by also sharing her good reason for going to the cinema in a video, with a humorous wink and with the complicity of Jack Lang”, explained to AFP the entourage of the minister. During Yann Barthès’ talk show, Daily, on September 15, the minister mentioned the almost daily presence and interventions of Jack Lang in his professional sphere.
