Five years after the death of the famous DJ, Martin Solveig makes dark revelations

April 20, 2018 marks a very sad day for the music industry. It was on this date that the famous Swedish producer, musician and disc jockey, Avicii, ended his life at only 28 years old. “He was disturbed by his thoughts about the meaning of life and happiness. He couldn’t go on like this. He wanted to find peace”confided his family in a statement released after his death.

According to the most sordid details, Avicii allegedly smashed a bottle of wine before slitting the veins in his neck and wrists. His body, lifeless, would have been found a few hours later in his room. In the years preceding his death, the artist had encountered serious health problems, in particular pancreatitis linked to heavy alcohol consumption.

“A great guy, very sensitive”

Close to the one who collaborated with Aloe Blacc on the title wake me up, Martin Solveig spoke, this Monday, June 26, 2023, about his links with Tim Bergling, his real name, in the columns of the Parisian. “With Avicii, we had become a bit of friends. Over twenty years, I argued with two or three guys, it’s rare. But he had arrived by rolling mechanics, with an aggressive team”, reported the French DJ.

According to him, several “confuse” would have erupted at festivals. “I called him to calm things down.” he remembered before adding that the situation had finally worked out. “I discovered a great guy, very sensitive. Tim was more emotionally fragile than the others and, in our job, you have to be psychologically strong, well anchored, with real pillars around you, like my wife, my family, my friends, a dozen people who didn’t never let go.” And to conclude:The stronger and faster the success, the more difficult it is to manage. Me, I’m lucky to evolve in stages.” Dark confidences.
