“A cardiac massage that lasted nine minutes”
This is obviously not the first time that the artist has evoked his
heart attack.“There was a blockage in the arteries and my heart stopped in a second“, he said during an interview with the magazine Gala in 2022. “I didn’t feel anything, I made a slightly strange movement. My friend Nathalie thought I was being stupid and she saw that I had stopped breathing. She put me on the ground, she gave me a cardiac massage which lasted nine minutes. Which is incredible. She broke two ribs and my sternum (laughs).”
Perked up, he added that he had not left any after-effects of the tragedy. “A month and a half later, I had to do brain tests to see if it was affected. I wasn’t 100%, it wasn’t great. A year later, the doctor saw me and said to me: ‘Hats off. There’s nothing left at all’. It’s great, I came out of it wonderfully.” he rejoiced.
And to conclude: “I didn’t want to let myself go so I pulled myself together very hard. Thanks to her (her partner, editor’s note) and my mentality, I managed to get back on track in an incredible way. I am in good shapeI’m doing shows and everything is going well.”
