The investigation is progressing in Val-d’Oise. Five people were placed in police custody in the case of the fatal brawl which cost the life, Monday evening, of a 15-year-old boy in Domont, the Pontoise public prosecutor’s office announced on Wednesday December 6. At least one other young man was injured during this fight involving around twenty people, according to the gendarmerie.
The facts date back to Monday, around 6:15 p.m., during a clash in the town of Domont involving “young people who knew each other”according to the Pontoise public prosecutor’s office, confirming information from the Actu 17 site. “We would be seeing a fairly classic phenomenon of fights between gangs”declared the gendarmerie, regarding groups of young people from Ezanville and Domont, two neighboring towns.
Investigation for homicide, opened Monday, was entrusted to the Montmorency gendarmerie research brigade and the Versailles research section. Large numbers of law enforcement officers were deployed in the area on Monday evening. “Ezanville is in mourning, Ezanville has lost one of its children; 15 years old is not an age to lose your life”, reacted on Tuesday on Facebook the mayor of Ezanville, Eric Battaglia. His counterpart from Domont, Frédéric Bourdin, presented “his condolences” to the victim’s family and also calls “quiet”.
