Five people, suspected of having imported more than two tons of cannabis, were indicted on Sunday May 14 and remanded in custody, franceinfo learned on Sunday, from a judicial source, confirming information from the newspaper Le Parisien / Today in France.
The five individuals are indicted for “importing narcotics in an organized gang”, “acquisition, possession, transport, offer or sale of narcotics” and “participation in a criminal association with a view to the preparation of crimes or offenses punishable of ten years’ imprisonment. Among these five people, three men in their thirties were arrested on Wednesday May 10 when 2.4 tonnes of cannabis were seized in a truck in Flins-sur -Seine in the Yvelines.
