The end of 2022 had a bitter taste for Denitsa Ikonomova!
In October, during training for her return to Dancing with the Stars, the young woman was injured. A bad reception on her knee which forced her to have surgery. On October 31, 2022, the dancer shared on Instagram a photo of herself lying on a hospital bed with her leg bandaged. “It’s not really the disguise I would have chosen for Halloween but… Nothing happens by chance! Every encounter, every incident, every moment has a purpose. It’s up to us to transform them in opportunity”she wrote. “I pulled too much on the rope (literally), but I’m going to take advantage of this period to rediscover myself…”.
Saturday March 25, the ex-juror of DALS took the floor again to announce great news since almost five months after her operation she was able to resume racing. “I wanted to celebrate a small victory and run outside without fear of re-injuring myself, it’s one for me”she said in the caption of two photos accompanied by a video of her with a big smile. “My body is my working tool and feeling the physical and psychological pain in recent months asking myself the question would my knee come back as before to take back what I love the most – DANCE… c It was desperate at times. But I trust my allies – patience, work and mind!!!”
But that’s not all since Denitsa visited one of her friends, Maxime Dereymez, as we can see in her story. Together, they chained a few dance steps as they used to do when they were doing the good days of the show of TF1.
