4:11 p.m. : The first time was just ten years ago. Our journalist Pierre Godon tells you in this article how this little-known ski resort has become a classic of the Tour de France (despite strong local opposition at the start).
4:11 p.m. : ? Memories of the last Tour de France stage up La Planche des Belles-Filles.
4:11 p.m. : This is the sixth time that the Tour has passed through the Planche des Belles Filles. The last time was in September 2020, for the post-lockdown Tour. Tadej Pogacar had crushed the time trial to win the yellow jersey to everyone’s surprise against Primoz Roglic.
4:10 p.m. : ? The Beautiful Girls Super Board @francetvsport #TDF2022 https://t.co/DTEYqnaVjz
4:11 p.m. : There are only about thirty kilometers left before the final ascent of the Super Planche des Belles Filles, it’s time to take the temperature on the spot, with these photos of my colleague Hortense Leblanc.
4:08 p.m. : Simon Geschke again takes the points (2) at the top of the second ascent of the day, the Col des Croix (3rd category). If the break goes to the end and the German wins, he would take the polka dot jersey (but this is not the most likely scenario).
3:57 p.m. : It was hard but Cyril Barthe and Imanol Erviti have just caught up with the five leading men. Seven men are now up front.
3:51 p.m. : There are only 50km left in this stage, five men are still in the lead: Schachmann, Kämna, Teuns, Geschke and Durbridge. They are 3 minutes ahead of the peloton, where Tadej Pogacar rolls his teammates. The yellow jersey seems to want to play for the win this afternoon at the top of the Super Planche des Belles Filles.

3:37 p.m. : There was a sprint just before this climb, during the passage to Gérardmer. Here is a summary, with the contenders for the green jersey who worked to grab some points.
(FRANCE 2)
3:34 p.m. : Geschke and Teuns manage to hang on and join the three leading men. And the German from Cofidis puts it back in to get the 2 points in the mountain classification at the top of this Col de la Grosse Pierre.
3:28 p.m. : The two Bohra riders, Schachmann and Kämna, give way to their breakaway companions. Only Durbridge is able to stay in the wheels.
(FRANCE 2)
3:19 p.m. : The riders of the breakaway have just set off on the first ascent, the Col de Grosse Pierre, classified in the third category (3.1km at 6.4%). They are still a little less than two minutes ahead of the peloton, led by the yellow jersey team Tadej Pogacar.
3:13 p.m. : My colleague Fanny Lechevestrier is lucky. She followed Thibaut Pinot on the slopes of the Super Planche des Belles Filles. The French rider dissects this spectacular climb here.
(FANNY LECHEVESTRIER / RADIO FRANCE)
2:59 p.m. : It gets seriously complicated for the breakaway. Laengen, the only rider from the Pogacar team present at the front, let himself get off the hook to come and lend a hand to his teammates, who are driving hard behind. There is only 1’39” difference.
2:45 p.m. : The gap between the breakaway and the peloton remains blocked around two minutes. It is difficult to get along among the 11 leading men and behind, the yellow jersey team, Pogacar, started rolling. The Slovenian seems to intend to play for the win this afternoon.
(FRANCE 3)
2:25 p.m. : At the back of the peloton, Mathieu Van der Poel drags his sentence. The Dutch rider, in difficulty since the start of the Tour, could well give up. “If this continues, I quit!“ he said this morning.
(FRANCE 3)
2:21 p.m. : Geschke is joined by Durbridge, Pedersen, Barthe, Ciccone, Laengen, Erviti, AsgreenKamna, Teuns and Schachmann. The peloton lets go, we probably hold the breakaway of this day.
2:10 p.m. : A man stands out in the lead, Simon Geschke. But the German from Cofidis risks not going very far by leaving alone. He is 14 seconds ahead.
(FRANCE 3)
2:01 p.m. : The breakaway of the day has still not formed, despite numerous attempts. We could see that Thibaut Pinot was on the lookout.
(FRANCE 3)

1:43 p.m. : While waiting for the stage to get carried away, short horse riding break on the Tour route.
1:31 p.m. : Thibaut Pinot at home at the Super Planche des Belles Filles #tdf2022 #hautesaone https://t.co/q1hmqXMRwz
1:31 p.m. : The Frenchman can in any case console himself by being the most applauded rider on these roads. His name is displayed all the way up to the board, as reported by France 3 Franche-Comté.
2:04 p.m. : “Inevitably, I am happy to arrive in the mountains, especially at home. We will say that the Tour begins now for me.”
This seventh stage will have a special taste for Thibaut Pinot, who lives 15km from the finish line. But don’t bet too much on the French climber, he should now play his role as teammate for David Gaudu, the Groupama FDJ rider.
1:22 p.m. : To watch the race live, you can tune in to france.tv. The start has just been given.
1:21 p.m. : Yesterday, Tadej Pogacar took the yellow jersey and is the favorite for victory tonight if the stage ends with a big explanation between leaders. Unless a breakaway goes to the end. Franceinfo sports summarizes the challenges of this stage here.
1:20 p.m. : Here is the profile of this stage, 176.3 km long. The runners will cross the Vosges before arriving in Haute-Saône. If you are tempted to take a nap, arrival is scheduled for 5.17 p.m. (so set an alarm a little before 5 p.m.).
1:20 p.m. : I take the wheel of Thibaud (that of franceinfo, easier to follow) to make you live this 7th stage of the Tour. On the program, the first real difficulty of the race, with an arrival at the Super board of beautiful girls, a first category climb.
1:19 p.m. : To follow this promising stage, I am accompanied this afternoon by the excellent Thomas Baïetto, who will tell you about the peloton, Tadej Pogacar and, of course, Thibaut Pinot.
12:58 : Welcome to ?? @ThibautPinot’s home roads and to the first summit finish for the #TDF2022 favourites! ⛰Welcome to the roads of ?? @ThibautPinot and to the first meeting at the top for the favorites of this #TDF2022! ⛰ https://t.co/MAdeEPEzpf
12:58 : A great stage awaits us today, between Tomblaine and the Super Planche des Belles Filles. It is today that our national Thibaut Pinot, told here by Pierre Godon, could shine in the mountains!
08:43 : He was content to follow the peloton without taking any risks since the start of the Tour de France. Thibaut Pinot will finally be able to make his climbing profile speak during the day’s stage at the Planche des Belles Filles. (MARCO BERTORELLO / AFP)
