A broken door, traces of the police passage. Vast anti-terrorist operation yesterday morning in a university campus in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle), as well as in Toul and Nancy. Five men, aged 20 to 23, were arrested. Two of them are students. Although they are not on S file, some are linked to the Islamist movement.

THE risk of attack is very high in France. “Since 2017, no less than 47 attacks have been foiled,” says David Ghisleri, Alliance Police Nationale union in the Grand-Est zone. Investigators are seeking to verify whether they have carried out any scouting at the Christmas market in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin). The Minister of the Interior calls for increased surveillance. If the custody of the five suspects was extended, some of them could be released without charges.
