A passenger plane crashed this Saturday afternoon in the Belledonne massif, in the territory of the commune of Les Adrets, near the ski resort of Sept-Laux. According to the emergency services, there would be five victims: four adults and a child. 60 firefighters are on site.
The firefighters received the alert at 4:47 p.m.: according to witnesses, a passenger plane crashed in the Belledonne massif, on the territory of the town of Les Adrets, at a place called Les Fournelles, located near the ski resort of Sept-Laux.
60 firefighters are currently on site, including a canine team. Drones are also flying over the area as well as several helicopters.
5 charred bodies were found in the crash area. According to the emergency services, it could be the pilot of the aircraft as well as a family of 3 adults and a child who was doing a first flight.
Still according to the emergency services, it could be a “musketeer” type passenger plane which left at 4:30 p.m. from the Versoud flying club – located about ten kilometers from the crash site – with 5 people on board.
The causes of the tragedy remain unknown for the moment.
The Grenoble public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation which it entrusted to the air transport gendarmerie and the commander of the Isère gendarmerie group.
