In Wisconsin, a car drove into a crowd during a Christmas parade on Sunday, November 21. A video shows a chaotic scene. A woman screams in terror as the sirens of police cars sound. Parents scream the names of their children. “I immediately left my house when I saw this. I saw children lying on the ground in the street.”, testifies a resident of this city of Wisconsin.
Five people are killed and around 40 people are injured. “This parade should have been a big party, but today our community was faced with horror and tragedy”, explains Shawn Reilly, the mayor of Waukesha. The driver was arrested. He is a 37-year-old man, convicted multiple times for acts of violence and drug trafficking. He had just been released on bail.
