The public prosecutor’s office in Le Havre, in Seine-Maritime, indicated on Tuesday November 21 that it had received five complaints for “sexual assault”, filed by supporters of the Lille and Lens football clubs, after pat-downs suffered at the entrance to the Océane stadium of the city on October 1 and 20 before Ligue 1 matches, reports France Bleu Normandie.

These complaints, according to the prosecution, were filed between November 6 and 10 in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais by supporters of Losc and RC Lens. The complainants accuse a steward of having touched their breasts and genitals during pat-downs to enter the sports arena.

Questioned by franceinfo on November 6, a supporter of RC Lens mentioned a “extensive search of private parts”. “There, we found ourselves with both of our breasts in her two hands, and she kneaded. I stiffened. Then, she went down the length of my legs, she came up to the level of the buttocks, and touched the buttocks. Then she moved forward and I clearly felt her finger on my penis”she explains.

An investigation was opened by the Le Havre public prosecutor’s office. According to the first elements communicated by the prosecution, the acts were committed by a single woman, who has since been excluded from the body search system until further notice, at the request of the Océane stadium. The Le Havre public prosecutor’s office is still waiting for two additional complaints from Hauts-de-France police stations before questioning the steward in question.
