Like every day, the 11 p.m. news takes a tour of the news broadcast by European television channels. It’s Eurozapping on Monday July 3.

In the UK, spring is deadly for fish. There are thousands of them floating on the surface of the rivers, victims of a particularly hot month of June with temperatures reaching 32°C. The fish are suffocated by the lack of oxygen, and the survivors are forced to breathe at the surface. These then become prey for birds.

Water restrictions in Switzerland

In Spain, the drought brings back the ruins. Thermal baths have just resurfaced when they were flooded. Today, the dam is filled to only 22% of its capacity, despite the rains of recent weeks.

Finally, Switzerland is implementing water restrictions. The flow rates of some fountains are halved. The filling of swimming pools, the watering of lawns or the washing of cars are prohibited throughout the summer.
