The track is released less than a year after news broke of the end of the controversial guardianship exercised primarily by her father, Jamie Spears.

“Okie dokie…my first song in 6 years!” ! ! ! “wrote the singer on Twitter.

“It’s pretty cool to sing with one of the most classic men of our time.”

The song’s cover combines childhood images of the two pop legends, who between them have over 90 years of experience in the music industry.

By dusting off his classic Tiny Dancerwith elements of The One with the help of a younger artist, Elton John recreates the sleight of hand he pulled off with last year’s hit cold heartrecorded with Dua Lipa.

Britney Spears’ last release dating back to 2016, with her album Glory.

Since then, the singer had mostly made headlines with her fight to be released from her guardianship, decided in 2008 due to psychological disorders. Britney Spears had denounced an “abusive” measure which, according to her, prevented her from removing her contraceptive IUD despite her desire to have other children.
