• #WEATHER REPORT A new episode of intense heat begins this week. It will first hit the south of France, before heading north on Tuesday and Wednesday, with temperatures up to 39°C, according to Météo France. Five departments have been placed on heatwave orange vigilance.
• #FIRES A new blaze ravaged 150 hectares of pines in the Landes, in the town of Mano, on Sunday evening. According to the prefecture, the fire “is not fixed but no longer progressing” and caused no casualties. The fire which burned 350 hectares in the Gard is under control.
• #KOSOVO Kosovo has delayed the entry into force of new rules that were to be put in place on its border with Serbia. Tensions erupted on Sunday between Belgrade and its former province, which declared independence in 2008 but is not recognized by the UN.
• #FOOT Her captain explains that she is not going “not sleeping all week”, and we understand it: the British team won the Women’s Euro at home on Sunday evening, and with it its first international competition. But “what this tournament will leave is above all the change in society”adds Leah Williamson.
