This sum includes its net income (profit) of 20.5 million and income in the form of consumption tax and excise tax, the state-owned company said on Monday.

The sum of the net result must be invested in prevention, research and the fight against the harmful effects of the use of psychoactive substances, specifies the SQDC.

Likewise, sales continued to grow compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Thus, they reached a value of 139 million compared to 136.5 million for the corresponding period last year.

The SQDC notes that during this quarter, it conducted negotiations with two union organizations that represent the workers of some of its branches. It has reached an agreement with the union members of the CSN, but not yet with those of CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees), which is affiliated with the FTQ.
