First photos of the electric Dodge Charger

A few weeks after completing assembly of the latest current-generation Charger and Challenger, Dodge posted photos on social media of what appears to be an electric Charger in pre-production livery. An undoubtedly clever initiative to keep fans of this muscle car born in 1966.

The series of photos, accompanied only by a message specifying that it is a pre-production model which will be offered at the end of 2024, shows a coupe with a gloomy appearance incorporating many of the aesthetic elements seen on the study Charger Daytona SRT style, presented in August 2022. The latter confirmed the electric transition of the legendary model as well as a return to basics towards a two-door body.

For its electric livery, Dodge planned in 2022 to offer versions with a 400 V architecture whose power would range between 455 and 670 hp. The top of the pyramid would be occupied by an 800 V version whose power has not been detailed. Obviously, no word on autonomy or charging power has been said yet.

Moreover, note that the American website The Drive affirmed last October that the muscle car would also receive the contribution of the new Hurricane twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engines intended to replace the Hemi V8s elsewhere at Stellantis. Never mind, we will have an idea of the complete portrait of this new Charger in the coming months.
