Miss France 2022 was in Moselle this Saturday, February 19. The Ile-de-France Diane Leyre, 24 years old, won the tiara on July 4th. And, as tradition dictates, she reserved her first official outing in the Moselle. This year, like Amandine Petit in 2021, Diane Leyre went at the B’Fun Park in Farébersviller. She was accompanied by Marine Sauvage, Miss Lorraine 2021.
So far, Covid requires, Diane Leyre had not yet been able to meet the French. So she was very happy to finally be able to do it. “The real role of Miss France for me is to meet the public so I am very happy to find this real role today”says the young woman. “Whatever if there is a mask, I will go out to meet the public and I will give them my best smile, even if it only has to pass through their eyes.”
Granddaughters thrilled to meet their idols
Two little girls have won the right to meet the misses thanks to a contest organized on social networks. When Diane Leyre and Marine Sauvage sit next to them and their family, they have stars in their eyes.
Diane Leyre takes one of them on her lap and begins to chat with her. The little girl, Liana, 5 years oldis so moved that she can’t even answer. “Liana is a fan of Miss France”Explain his grandmother, Isabelle. “She will be celebrating her 6th birthday in May and she has asked for a Miss France themed party. I think it’s a good model for children because Miss France represents beauty, education, an exemplary career…”
For his part Maylis, 9 years old, is thrilled! It was his mother who took part in the competition and who surprised him. “I went to sleep at my Grandma’s and when I came back, my mom told me she had a surprise for me”says the granddaughter. “When I found out what it was, I was super happy! _Miss France is beautiful, very kind… I adore her!_“
