The trailer shows Obi-Wan Kenobi taking refuge on Tatooine, 10 years after the dramatic events that led to the fall of the Jedi Order, but also the corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side of the Force by donning the garb of the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

The series, which will be launched on May 25 on the Disney streaming platform, also features inquisitors in the pay of Vader, some of whom have been seen in the video game Jedi Fallen Order, launching in 2019 on PC, Xbox and PS4. The inquisition used to flush out the Jedi still alive also takes an important place in the trailer unveiled this Wednesday.

We also see a very young Luke Skywalker, playing near the farm of his uncle Owen Lars, played once again by Joel Edgerton – the Australian actor had played the role in episodes II and III of the cinematographic saga, while as Bonnie Maree Piesse, who also returns as his wife Beru.

The series directed by Deborah Chow also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader, although we do not see him in the sequences unveiled to date.

Other cast members include Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
